This scholarship was created in honor and memory of Sheri Usher, a well loved educator for over 25 years with her teaching career ending at Matilija Middle School. Middle School was her favorite group to teach which is why this scholarship is dedicated to the 6th through 8th graders.

The scholarship serves as a lasting memory of Sheri’s love for children and the outdoors, kindness, and advocacy for equity.
